Arrival at the Castle
Harry and Ron are in a flying car, the Ford Anglia, as they approach Hogwarts. The car is seen flying over the countryside with the boys excitedly steering it. They are relieved after their adventurous journey from London, avoiding the Hogwarts Express. The car begins to malfunction, sputtering and losing altitude. The boys become increasingly worried, panicking as they realize they are losing control. Ron frantically tries to keep the car steady, while Harry looks around for a safe landing spot. They frantically exchange words, trying to calm each other while fearfully watching the castle loom closer. The car starts plummeting towards the ground, with both boys bracing for impact.
The Crash Landing
The Ford Anglia crashes into the Whomping Willow, a large, animated tree near the castle. The tree violently reacts, swinging its branches at the car, causing further chaos. Harry and Ron are tossed around inside the vehicle, struggling to regain control. The tree’s branches smash into the car’s windows, cracking the glass and denting the body. The boys are in a state of shock, shouting to each other as they try to escape the tree’s relentless attacks.
Amidst the chaos, the car manages to break free from the tree’s grip, reversing away from the Whomping Willow. Ron and Harry are visibly shaken, their expressions showing both relief and disbelief at their narrow escape. The car, seemingly acting on its own, ejects the boys and their luggage onto the castle grounds before driving off into the Forbidden Forest. This scene underscores their tumultuous arrival at Hogwarts and sets the stage for the challenges they will face in the story.
